Editing ReviewSpace Comments

March 3rd, 2010 by Will

One topic that keeps appearing in our feedback is the ability to edit comments.

There are a lot of questions to be considered when you start to think about editing comments and how it affects the flow of the conversation. Who can edit comments? Is there a point when editing is no longer available? After someone has replied to a comment can that original still be edited?

We’ve decided for now to leave things as simple as possible, and see how this is used. We expect most editing will be to correct a simple mistake, so this is what we’ve come up with.

Only you can edit your comments, and you can edit them whenever you like. To preserve the original flow of the conversation we archive all versions of a comment, these can be accessed by anyone directly in the thread.

How it works
